Assalaamu 'alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

Do you have any sayings, verses, quotes that have really touched you or have increased your reflection, and brought about change in you? If so please share it with us. Hiqmah or wisdom is something that Muslims must look for, so even if you have any sayings, quotes, etc, please post them here

Fi Amanillah

Here's one:

Bilal Ibn Sa'ad rahimahullah said:
Quote:
"Don't look at the meagureness of your sin, but look at the One whom you have disobeyed!"

Assalaamu 'alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

One of my favourite ahadith's is:

Kun fid-dunya ka annaka gharibun, aw aabirus sabeel.

Rasulullah sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: And found in Bukhari and Imam Sharafaddeen an-Nawawi's Forty Hadith:

Quote:
"Be in this world as a stranger or a wayfarer".

Need we say more?

"Worship is like a work of art mastered only by the sincere, the learned scholars who practice what they know, who live and walk among people like everyone else, but in their hearts they seek freedom in the serenity of the wilderness. Because of this yearning they continue to grow until their spirits soar and become united with the numinous. About such God says, "Indeed they are the finest of human beings, cherished by us." (Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jillani in Fayuz E Yazdani)

Hear me out, my dear friends,
Love resembles the sun.
The heart that feels no love
Is none other than stone.

Assalamualaykum wr.wb

The True Ascetic

The True Ascetic abandons the three ‘I’s. He does not say “for me,” “with me,” or “my property.” He must not attribute anything to himself.
Ibn Al-Arabi

Prophet Muhammad said:

"A believer through his good deeds reaches the position of one who worships all night and fasts during the day." (reported by A'ishah bint Abi Bakr ra)

Narrated Anas bin Malik:

The Prophet (SAW) drew a few lines and said, "This is (man's) hope, and this is the instant of his death,
and while he is in this state (of hope), the nearer line (death) comes to Him."

Narrated Abu Musa:

The Prophet said, "Whoever loves the meeting with Allah, Allah too, loves the meeting with him;
and whoever hates the meeting with Allah, Allah too, hates the meeting with him."
